This ring is limited edition because it comments on the individuality of going against the grain. Ned Kelly is the iconic Australian outlaw born in Victoria, December 1854. Much has been written of the rights or wrongs that make the Ned Kelly story so compelling, up to and including denying him the plea of self-defense, and to this day legal arguments remain. Ned Kelly died at the gallows in Melbourne Gaol on 11 November 1880, his last words reported to be "Such is Life". The enduring image of Ned Kelly is his self-made amour crafted from agricultural implements and weighing 97lbs. It remains on display at the State Library of Victoria, and it is upon his battered helmet that we have based the Ned Kelly ring.
